Overview
Aircraft skins pick up exhaust soot, oil streaking, bird and bug mess, dust and salt film. Left on, it dulls the finish and holds moisture against the surface. A careful clean keeps a display or working aircraft presentable and makes maintenance and inspection easier.
Being this close to the coast matters here — salt-laden air settles on parked aircraft faster than it does further inland, and left on long enough it contributes to corrosion around fasteners, hinges and control surfaces, not just a dull finish. Based aircraft that sit outside or in open hangars pick this up continuously, which is why some owners prefer a more regular wash cycle rather than waiting until it's visibly dirty.
We wash by hand with soft mitts and controlled, low-volume water — no harsh degreasers, and no high pressure near seams, panel lines, ports, antennas or composite panels. Sensitive fittings are covered and the aircraft is chocked before we start. We'll use any cleaning product you specify. We also clean hangar floors, walls, roofs and gutters, and the apron and hardstand.

How we do it
Our process
Brief & protect
Agree the scope and any product requirements with you. Cover ports and sensitive fittings, chock the aircraft, mark out the work area.
Pre-treat
Cleaning solution on exhaust and belly streaking, with time to work.
Hand wash
Soft mitts, top-down, section by section — low-volume water directed away from seams, ports and electrics.
Rinse & dry
Controlled rinse, then chamois or soft-cloth dry to avoid water spotting.
Walk-around
With you — and we point out anything we noticed. We clean; we don't touch anything else.
Hangar exteriors — algae, exhaust film and salt removed from cladding.
Good to know
Cleaning only — to your requirements
Tell us which product to use and any areas to avoid, and we'll work to that. No solvent degreasers, no high pressure near the airframe. We clean only — no maintenance, inspection or sign-off — but a clean airframe makes an inspection easier. We carry $20 million public liability, and we'll complete the airfield's induction and follow its rules on site.
