Overview
Pigeons, mynas and possums all find the same thing under a solar array — a warm, dry, sheltered space with nothing to bother them. Once they move in, nesting material, feathers and droppings build up against the panel frames and cabling underneath, which stains the roof, blocks airflow around the panels and can become a fire risk where debris sits against wiring and connectors.
We fit a discreet mesh barrier around the full perimeter of the array, clipped into place — no drilling into the panels or roof sheeting — so it doesn't affect your panel warranty. It's the kind of job that pays for itself: once it's done, it's done.
Possum activity is particularly common on treed, hinterland properties — Buderim, Doonan, Palmwoods and similar suburbs with mature canopy nearby — while mynas and pigeons are an issue almost everywhere on the Coast, especially on roofs near open space or shopping centres where they're used to people. Either way, the fix is the same mesh barrier.
