Driveway & Concrete Cleaning
Concrete, pavers and stone are built to take pressure — and years of tyre marks, oil, mould and ground-in dirt come off dramatically with the right gear. We use surface cleaners for an even, stripe-free finish, and can seal afterwards to keep it that way.
Overview
A pressure clean is the single biggest change you can make to the front of a property. Driveways, paths and pool surrounds pick up algae, lichen, oil, rust and general grime — and once it's ingrained, a garden hose won't touch it.
We run rotary surface cleaners rather than a bare wand, so you get a consistent finish without the zebra stripes. Oil and organic stains are pre-treated, and we can follow up with a sealer to make the next clean far easier.
What we clean
- Driveways, crossovers, paths and footpaths
- Patios, alfresco areas and pool surrounds
- Retaining walls and garden edging
- Garage and shed floors
- Steps, kerbs and letterbox areas
- Exposed aggregate, stamped concrete, pavers, stone and tile
- Pre-treatment of oil stains and moss / algae
A rotary surface cleaner gives an even, stripe-free finish.
How we do it
Our process
Inspect & test
Surface type and condition, staining, and any loose or spalling concrete noted before we start.
Pre-treat
Degreaser on oil, biocide on moss and algae — so it lifts rather than just going grey.
Surface clean
Rotary surface cleaner for an even result, edges and corners cut in by hand wand.
Rinse
Flush residue away from the house and into the right drains, and blow down the finished area.
Seal (optional)
Once fully dry, a penetrating or topical sealer to resist stains and slow regrowth — quoted separately.
Before / after — lichen-covered stone path.
Good to know
Is sealing worth it?
On exposed-aggregate and pavers, yes. Sealing deepens the colour, stops weeds and mould coming back through the joints, and makes the next clean quick. On plain broom-finish concrete it's optional.
Old oil stains usually lighten dramatically but may not vanish completely — we'll always tell you honestly at the quote what to expect.
Pricing. A small driveway or patio is around $150–$250; a larger driveway plus paths is $250–$450. Sealing is quoted separately. Free quote.
FAQ
Common questions
Will it remove oil stains?
Most of them. Deep, old oil may lighten rather than disappear. We'll assess it and tell you what's realistic before we start.
Can you get rid of the black between my pavers?
Yes — and sealing afterwards slows it coming back. Without sealing, expect it to return over a year or two in shaded areas.
Will pressure cleaning damage my concrete?
Sound concrete, no. Already-spalling or flaking concrete can lose loose material — we check first and adjust pressure, and flag anything that needs repair.
Do you do large commercial slabs and car parks?
Yes — see Commercial & Strata.
